Good

A lot of space! We basically had the mini pool to ourselves upstairs. Friendly owners, it has a good kitchen, close to supermarkets and a great cafe for breakfast/ lunch. If they would do something about the mosquitos I would stay again.

So many mosquitos in the apartment! We killed 8 in three days and still they were bothering us.. It really made it hard to sleep peacefully for me. AC and fan don't work too great. It's pretty dark downstairs and in the bathroom (not a lot of windows with natural light).

Very nice and comfortable stay in Playa del Carmen

Overall very good. Nice personal attention and good contact on beforehand. Morena texted me some days before to know my arrival time and when I arrived got a good explanation of the appartment and the things in Playa del Carmen. Some things I really liked: good equipment of the appartment (kitchen, towels etc.), it was very clean and the cleaning after 3 days was very good, the air conditioning worked very good, the privacy, the location (everything in walking distance, quiet area), the owners are very nice people who realy want to help.

Some little things: the appartment (the appartment on the groundfloor) could have some better lights (living room, bathroom and bedroom), the wifi was not always working very good (although I did'nt have big problems), the pool on the groundfloor is a little cold (but that's just for the information, not some thing to improve, it's just the temperature because of the shadow).

Very Good

Two adults from Europe. We stayed here in end of March for 16 days! LOCATION & ASSISTANT: We enjoyed the apartment it was clean and close to almost everything. Finding the apartment was easy and there is free parking right outside. Morena the administrator was very helpful and kind. A++ to her. She fulfilled most of our request and was very effective and responded fast. However she does not speak english, but that was not a big problem for us since my gf spoke spanish. You need to have some general spanish skills in Mexico as most people do not speak english. CLEAN: The cleaning lady was on top of her game. She deserved A+++++ as she even cleaned our dishes and put our cloths in order. That was shocking and WOW! Really went beyond her «job» to clean the place. HOMEWARE ACCESSORIES. The apartment have everything an apartment should so you dont need to bring anything from home! Overall happy with our stay and can highly recommend this place. We felt safe with feeling like home at the same time extra service and help that was provided from Morena.

- Pressure of water is really low and I would recommend owner of the apartment to fix this issue to give the guest a better experience. - Hot water was an big issue. You cant take shower for two adults at the same time. I am not talking about long showers, but short showers . We did complain about this and Morena told us that this is common problem in Mexico and there is nothing she can do about this. We feel however this can be fixed by investing in better system. - Noise. Unfortunately duiring our stay we had constantly noise from construction work going on duiring the day time. We could not enjoy the pool at all. We did therefor not stay at the apartment as much as we wished. - $ 5 USD/day Extra for A/C: This is an hidden cost. I would prefer the owner to include this in the total price so you dont feel like getting tricked. - A/C in room. Since A/C was just in the room right above the bed. It would either get to cold or too hot. - Since you have to pay 1 month in advance they will also charge you 5 % extra for payment with credit card or paypal. This is also another hidden cost which you dont know about. - Limit of A/C usage. There is another energy limit once you already pay $5 USD for the A/C. If you go above the limit pr day( you have to pay 100 pesos extra) however use common sense and dont leave AC on when you are not in the apartment to save energy for our planet.

Quiet area, 3 blocks from Quinta ave. Also restaurants in this area are better value. Than higher priced 5th ave. Accommodation Was clean, comfortable.good bed. Two ceiling Fans in unit. Terrace was big comfy space unfortunately no covered area as it rained for Most of my stay. Locked gate entry.feels secure. Great host. Good communication Avail for any needs.

Was a little hard to find. No numbered address. General 2 block radius. Was tucked up a dark Side street. Dipping pool on terrace was great, But shared with neighbor. Listing indicated Private. A/C extra $5.00usd/day.

Exceptional

Absolutely wonderful. The location is perfect, apartment is perfect and Stefano is a great host with lots of care. In the same street there is the best breakfast place and 5 min walk you are on the 5th av where all the nightlife, shopping and restaurants are. The apartment is so comfortable and because of the location you can enjoy more local areas and the tourist area. Perfect if you like a combination of both!

A great base for a stay in Playa del Carmen

The location of this apartment is excellent, a quiet street with the bright lights of 5th Avenue a 5 minute walk away, and nearer for a range of very good bars, restaurants, a laundry and small shops. Less than 10 minutes walk to a large supermarket. The apartment has everything you need to look after yourself if you decide to cook or eat in. The outside area upstairs is great for an outdoor meal as it is often shaded. Note that the plunge pool, though not the outside seating area, is shared with one of the other apartments. The wifi works well. Stefano, the owner, could not have been more helpful, he is a kind man. Also note that to collect the keys, Eleanora will phone you or send you a text message to be there in order to meet you if you have not made a prearranged time.

There was nothing we did not like, it was good value for the money we paid.

There are no words to describe Casa Naaj properly. Stefano is an amazing host and did everything in his power to make our stay at his apartment easy, comfortable and memorable.. Follow his tips on food, money exchange, bars, cenotes and day excursions. The apartment is very comfortable and cosy and has everything you could possibly want or need(Beach towels too).It's well located close to 5th avenue and Playa del Carmen's beach. Air codition works perfectly. The apartment is very clean. You can relax on the terrace and have your breakfast or your drink at night by your private pool.Simply amazing apartment and Superhost.

Perfectly located at walking distance from the beach, but in a quiet (and safe) alley away from the busy 5th, so that the nights were quiet and the baby could sleep. Supermarket, laundry, bakery and restaurants within a couple of minutes distance. Great apartment, gorgeous roof terrace and friendly owner.

Stefano provides very personable and reliable management and staff. As a woman traveling alone, I felt very comfortable at Casa Naaj, and I feel it was because of Stefano's demeanor. He was a great resource for questions and recommendations. He was waiting for me on arrival to provide the key and orient me to the unit. Casa Naaj is in an awesome location, away from the crowds, but close enough to get there. An easy walk to the beach or Avenida 5, and to large supermarkets. Patio area with pool a beautiful sanctuary for hot afternoons. An oasis of privacy when needed. Kitchen was well equipped with appliance and utensils so you can cook your own meals. Bathroom very modern with reliable water and plumbing. Apartment was spotlessly cleaned every two days. I recommend Casa Naaj for someone who enjoys a little solitude and independence, and is looking for more experience of the personality of Playa Del Carmen. ...
